Calling all cooks and experienced moms?
Yesterday I asked a question about pork barbecue sauce. Now I want to know if it would be nice if I cooked the pork strip tonight, and serve tomorrow. It's for Sunday dinner and usually eat around 3:00. I want to make sure that the pork will being tender and will not be ruined by reheating the next day. I am using a slow cooker. Please help. I'll be at church tomorrow and I know a slow cooker is constructed to, for lack of better words "set it and forget it" I still get nervous about leaving while I'm not at home or asleep it is not an option =)
Of course! What do all the time, and knows so well (or better) the next day. I bake my meat slow pork with a dry rub – then shred and put in a casserole baking dish with barbecue sauce on it. Slowly reheat the next day …..
