cook a turkey on the grill?
I have a six-burner gas barbecue. I've been getting some conflicting advice. I know the turkey is in part without the heat, but I put it in the middle and light the two burners on each side? Or just the light from one side of the barbecue? How I can put the turkey directly on the grill or in a pan? What temperature should the barbecue? Would it be the same as the oven should be? Thanks!
You want your turkey the center with the burners lit on each side, if you have space for that. If not, divide the grid in the middle. You want to keep the temperature of the grill itself. as would your oven as much as you can. Using the bread is your choice as to whether to keep the juices or not. You will have a "healthy" turkey if the juice is drained the same, but you will have a juicier turkey if you keep the pan under it and sprayed from time to time.
