Bare Bones BBQTasty Ideas For Your Barbecue & Grilling Pleasure

What do I do with a jar full of small larvae that grow in a jar of barbecue dripping fat and water for over 8 months?

There seems to be 1-2 hundred small larvae that grow in this bottle that had the lid open all the time. The bottle was collecting the juices drip to the bottom of the barbecue until his "perch" corroded (I guess the heat is mixed with hot juices dripping fat to cook the meat in the jar-thin, flexible holder). Once the bottle barbecue fell, he just left sitting outside at least since December (which has seen its share of snow, freezing and thawing). It's too strange for me to handle, I'm afraid one of these hot black larvae (which seem to have very small legs – or am I paranoid) could jump me. Should I try to put at the top of the bottle and see for natural selection if one of them might be able to survive without oxygen? or sent to a laboratory somewhere (where?) to determine what type of larvae that are … or just throw them away? Does anyone know what I can do with a small army of unknown larvae move rough and fast?

I ensure that the larvae can not jump, so unless they are much faster than any larvae that I have ever seen or you are much slower than I expect you are, you will be fine to take it out and put it in the shade. We will continue the cycle of life and have fun while you watch. Activity can be set for a time, while the larvae pupate, but one day there will be a mass exodus of some kind of flying insects.
